Hallelujah, Kenya! Trumpeting Revival In Uhuru Park Ft. Pastor Nathaniel Bassey

Thank you! Thank you! Great and Mighty Creator of the world. You may not be familiar with this rendition since you’ve probably heard it in Igbo. The gospel hit song Imela that debuted in 2015 brought our attention to a seasoned musician and minister of the word. He is anointed as a prophetic psalmist; hence, his music doesn’t just sound good; it heals, restores, transforms and delivers. Nathaniel Bassey’s story is one marked by divine orchestration and direction.

Beyond the music lies a mantle to trumpet revival across the world. He once shared during Stand in the Gap 21, “I believe one of my purposes in life is to declare His hallelujah to the nations. He sent me to explain Hallelujah to my generation”, and for the first time, his trumpet will sound at Uhuru Park courtesy of Rhema Feast 2025. That’s right. The internationally renowned Nigerian worship leader, pastor, and revivalist is one of the ministers set to grace Rhema Feast 2025, happening September 1st – 5th at Uhuru Park, Nairobi. And honestly? We couldn’t be more expectant.

Originally a jazz lover, his musical journey began with the trumpet and classical influences. But one divine encounter changed everything. God took that instrument and turned it into a weapon of spiritual warfare, a vessel of revival. Today, he doesn’t just play music; he releases atmospheres. At the core of his ministry is the word, intimacy with God and a yearning for revival. Aside from music, Minister Nathaniel Bassey is a pastor, serving as a worship leader in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). His teachings on worship and spirituality have further strengthened his influence in the Christian community.

He has also mentored many upcoming gospel musicians, inspiring them to use their talents for God’s glory. His book ‘The Sound of Revival’ has helped worshippers and music ministers understand the deeper call of worship leadership. This introduction would be incomplete if I failed to mention one of his most revolutionary contributions to the body of Christ: The Hallelujah Challenge, a nightly livestream of prayer and worship where thousands, sometimes millions, log in from around the world, worshipping and experiencing God. Every edition is marked by profound testimonies and fulfilment of prophecy. Despite his accomplishments and influence, he remains a humble servant of God, always prioritising his calling over fame.

If you have worshipped using Yahweh Sabaoth, danced to Dancing Around Medley or stayed up for the Hallelujah Challenge, then you have a glimpse of what’s coming. This Rhema Feast, we get to experience what the Lord has placed in his heart for Kenya, Africa and every country that will be represented.

So mark your calendar, prepare your spirit, and on the 1st to 5th September 2025, make your way to Uhuru Park for this free apostolic movement. Invite 10 people to share this blessing with you.

The sound of revival will rise from Uhuru Park, Nairobi, Kenya. Let the trumpet sound!
